Hello, my name is Judy Cowger. I am a Staff Counselor here at UCC and am the Coordinator of the Career Counseling Program. As for my professional credential, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of North Dakota. Areas of special clinical interest for me include eating disorders, women’s psychological development, sexual abuse, childhood traumas, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, interpersonal skills development, and, of course, career counseling. I have received specialized training in most of these areas and certificates of completion in women’s psychological issues, understanding the neuroanatomy of drug activity, survivor issues of sexual abuse, and working with eating disorders.

My MA in counseling, with an emphasis in agency and school counseling, was earned right here at UND. I earned a BA in Elementary Education with a minor in math and science from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. I relax by doing lots of quilting and by walking my dog Matty. I look forward to the possibility of working with you here at the center.
